U2 Tickets Vanishing Rapidly

The U2 frenzy is continuing with the sale of the first batch of tickets for their world tour.  More than 260 000 tickets were sold last weekend.

This Irish group starts their Vertigo Tour on March 28.  Tickets went on sale last Saturday, and many North American and European concerts are already sold out.

The concerts already sold out in the U.S. include Chicago, all three in Boston, two in San Diego, two in San Jose, two in Los Angeles, two in Anaheim, two in Philadelphia and the one in Denver.

For the first European concert held in Brussels on June 10, more than 55 000 tickets have already been sold.

The guitarist of the group, The Edge, is suing the newspaper Sunday World, which reported that the beginning of the Vertigo Tour was due to the guitarist’s serious illness.

The High Court of Dublin is taking two weeks to listen to the lawyers of both parties.

The U2 world tour was initially supposed to debut on March 1 in Miami.  It was delayed until March 28.
