The 2024-25 season promises to be an exciting one for hockey fanatics.
There have been many changes throughout the NHL.
One of the biggest changes, if not the biggest, is the move of the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City (Utah HC).
Many people are happy to see the Coyotes go, because frankly, something had to give.
It’s about time, as they say.
That said, the club’s new fans in Utah are looking forward to representing their club.
Utah HC head coach André Tourigny was at BPM Sports for Retour des Sportifs.
A number of topics were discussed, but one in particular is of particular interest.
Tourigny told us that it won’t be possible to buy Utah jerseys until January.
But that with a new franchise, things are very complicated due to the delay in orders… pic.twitter.com/YOW8QEj64W

Unbelievable.
Obviously, the sale of the Coyotes and the move to Utah happened very quickly.
A little too quickly, in fact.
On the other hand, it was definitely the right thing to do, as the Coyotes were seen as THE laughing stock of the NHL, and it affected how the league is perceived.
We were told there would be no official logo for the club in 2024-25, but the jersey was announced anyway.
The late sale of the jerseys is a counter-cost to its early arrival.
On the other hand, who’s going to want to buy the HC Utah jersey mid-season (if it’s available in January), when everyone knows it’s going to change as early as next year?
We have an idea of what the team will be called, even if nothing has been made official, because GM Bill Armstrong has already escaped.
I also invite you to listen to André Tourigny’s interview on the Retour des Sportifs program.
Overtime
– Well, well, well.
We’ll have to avoid asking him about Yaroslav Askarov in the future 😬 https://t.co/zLD53yKn0Q

– Not a crazy idea.
If the team continues to be so weak defensively with a system using attacking full-backs, I’d rather see a 3-5-2 with real wingers whose priority would be attack.
The team often struggles in midfield, and I’d prefer us to adopt a… pic.twitter.com/YhzWio5m3L

– No easy task for our Canadians at the US Open.
So far, 🇨🇦’s representatives at the #Usopen:
Felix Auger-Aliassime: ❌
Denis Shapovalov: ❌
Leylah Fernandez: ❌That leaves Gabriel Diallo and Bianca Andreescu. Both currently playing.
