Kanye West cancels European tour

Kanye West has cancelled the second leg of his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour, which was due to involve a number of European dates.

Kanye West has cancelled the second leg of his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour.

The 39-year-old rapper was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles with suspected "temporary psychosis" in November – leading to the axe of the remaining dates on his US tour – and the star has now pulled out of bringing the show to Europe.

TMZ reports that Kanye’s representatives have contacted concert promoter Live Nation and informed them that the star will not be performing at planned gigs in cities including London and Paris.

However, calling off the tour will not cause major issues as tickets have not yet been issued.

Speaking in August about bringing the tour to Europe, Kanye said: "We’re putting together the tour right now, and I’m just excited to play with different kind of melodies [and create] the story of the tour.

"Whenever I’m in London, whenever I’m in Paris or in Germany, I feel an amount of love, respect and appreciation more than when I’m in America. It’s something where people look at musicians like artists."

Kanye has reportedly built a temporary studio in his Bel-Air mansion and is now making new music, after his release from hospital.

And the decision to launch himself back into his work might not come as a surprise to his famous family, as he wanted to work on his music and clothing line whilst he was still recovering in hospital.

A source said: "Kanye keeps wanting to work. At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed. And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines.

"He continues to want to work and Kim Kardashian West has to keep telling him to rest."
