The Canadian actor responded to a subscriber via Twitter who mentioned that the Sens were for sale and that he should acquire the franchise.
Reynolds retorted with a musing emoji like this: 🤔.
On the matter, the 46-year-old did not respond to any media interview requests.
If Reynolds ever gets his hands on the club, his goal would be for it to stay in Ottawa, hence his motivation to acquire it. The team is currently valued at $655 million, according to Sportico.
Reynolds is a co-owner of Wrexham FC, a soccer team founded in 1864 that plays in the National League.
