Countess of Wessex flashes tummy at Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Britain’s Countess of Wessex dropped jaws at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London as she stepped out in a lace peek-a-boo designer dress.

Britain’s Countess of Wessex flashed her toned tummy in a lace peek-a-boo dress at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London last night (11.03.15).

The 50-year-old royal – the daughter-in-law of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – dropped jaws at the event when she stepped out in a £2,375 Mary Katrantzou gown.

The blonde beauty appeared to be in her element as she posed for photographs on the red carpet, before making her way into the star-studded ceremony held at Claridges.

The Countess – also known as Sophie – flaunted her trim physique in her mid-calf-length dress, which featured a small waist-band cut-out and lace detailing across the chest.

She completed the look with a pair of black suede heels and a matching bag, while her hair and makeup were kept simple, yet elegant, with a sophisticated up-do.

Meanwhile, the stunner – who is the wife of Prince Edward – previously admitted she had ”caved in” to the demands of being a fashion-conscious royal in the public eye.

Speaking to the Daily Express newspaper, she said: ”I recognise that I’m on display. I remember having a chat with somebody and them saying, ‘You know you’ve got to recognise that this is part and parcel of what you’re doing.

”When you walk into a room, yes people are going to talk about what you’re doing there, but they’re also going to want to know what you’re wearing.’ I sort of wrestled with that one for a little while and slightly caved in at the end of the day.”
