Adele keeps fit by weight-lifting

Adele is hitting the gym to prepare for her musical comeback later this month and admitted she’s taken a shine to weight-lifting.

The 27-year-old star has revealed she’s embarked on an intense fitness schedule to get into shape for her musical comeback and although she hates most exercise, she’s taken a shine to doing weights.

However, she admitted the strenuous activity can be a nightmare for her beauty regime as it causes blood vessels on her face to burst.

She explained: ”I’m not, like, skipping to the f**king gym. I don’t enjoy it. I do like doing weights. I don’t like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face. And if I don’t tour, you’ll catch me back down at the Chinese!”

The ‘Hello’ hitmaker, who has three-year-old son Angelo, also admitted she has completely given up smoking and has cut down her consumption of alcohol down to one drink a week for the sake of the tot.

On smoking, she told Rolling Stone magazine: ”I absolutely loved it, but it’s not that f**king cool when I’m dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated.”

And she added: ”I used to be able to drink anyone under the table and still be able to put on an all-right show.

”But with kids, hangovers are torture. They just know. They pick up on it and just go for you.”
