A Musical Tribute To The Beatles
Several artists and musicians have recorded the songs from the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. The tribute, organised by the BBC, celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the legendary band’s first disc in 1967.
Sound engineer Geoff Emerick, who worked with the Beatles on the original album, will again work on the new recordings. He will use the same equipment used in the past. The finished product will be aired on June 2 on Radio 2 and the BBC.
