A Surprise for Jennifer Lopez

Lopez shed tears of joy when she realized that her husband, Marc Anthony, had arranged a surprise party for her birthday.

The event, called An Evening for Lola (the star’s nickname), was held at New York’s Edison Ballroom on Saturday, and included Lopez’s closest friends. During the evening, Anthony took the stage to perform a song in Spanish in honour of his wife, causing an outpouring of joy at the celebration.

For the special night, Lopez wore a Greek-inspired dress adorned with golden chains.  She was in the company of her closest friends and family, including Leah Remini, Benny Medina, Liza Minnelli, Ricky Martin, L.A. Reid and Gayle King.  Champagne flowed until the early hour of 4 a.m., when the party finally ended.
