Anna Kendrick’s serious swearing

Anna Kendrick started swearing so people would take her seriously.

The ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ actress made a conscious decision to use foul language when she got to 18 because she looked so young for her age that people in her professional and personal life treated her like a kid.

She said:  »My whole life I’ve been trying to convince people to take me seriously; looking like I was 10 when I was 18 made it more difficult. Using a combination of well-constructed conversation pieces then a handful of curses so that they knew I wasn’t just a precious 10 year old is a big part of it. »

Anna insists her parents didn’t mind when she added the dirty dictionary to her speech because her family all curse.

In an interview with Stylist magazine, she said:  »When I was very young I got into trouble but then I think my parents were so tired of having to hold it in themselves that we just became one of those families that cursed all the time. »

Although Anna’s parents Janice and William don’t mind her swearing, the 29-year-old star claims her mother would admonish her for being a pretentious actress.

She said:  »I think my family would only roll their eyes at an interview I said something pretentious. If I said something about ‘the craft’ my mum would be like, ‘Oh for f**k’s sake!’  »
