Arpon Basu: “If Crosby wants to move, the Habs can offer him exactly what he wants.”
Does the name Sidney Crosby ring a bell? We’re talking about a player who ga… OK. I’ll stop. No joke, the main player is (still) the talk of the town. What’s nextfor him? Right now, that’s a popular question in Montreal… but also all over the NHL . When you think about his situation, though, it’s easy to understand one thing: Crosby wants to win, and there are places where he could. Dallas, Toronto, Tampa Bay, Florida, Colorado… Among these clubs, however, there’s a downside. The Stars, Leafs, Lightning, Panthers and Avalanche don’t have all the resources to get Crosby out of Pittsburgh. And according to Arpon Basu(The Athletic), it’s simple: Right now, the Habs may be the best-positioned club to make a deal with the Penguins. And the Canadiens also have what it takes to please Crosby. The club in Montreal is young, talented… and adding a guy like him to the roster sure helps too.Ah, and Kent Hughes has what it takes to dance with Kyle Dubas:

[content-ads] What would it take to acquire Crosby? That’s another good question, but what’s certain is that the Penguins won’t let him go for peanuts. We’re talking about one of the best players in history, and even if the Kid isn’t a kid anymore, he still has value because he can help any club on the ice. But in reality, the Habs have the resources to make a move.First-round picks, quality prospects, young players who can help Pittsburgh tomorrow… The decision, in the end, will come down to #87. He’s the one in control of his destiny, and he’s the one who’s going to have to ask Dubas to move him if that’s what he really wants at the end of the day.And in the context of knowing that he wants to win, that the Canadiens are about to blossom as a team, and that there’s an awful lot of talent in town … it gets really interesting.overtime’] – I love it.
The Canadiens’ Alexandre Carrier and his wife, Dr. Alicia Lessard, received a very warm welcome this afternoon from about 300 students at Merton Elementary School in Côte St. Luc. An inspiring couple who spoke with the kids and answered questions from them. #Habs pic.twitter.com/61oz6HaMxS
