Avril Lavigne Files Divorce Papers

The 24-year-old star, who is married to Deryck Whibley, filed for divorce last Friday, citing irreconcilable differences.

Lavigne and the Sum 41 musician were married for three years, and announced their separation last month. The singer indicated that the split was amicable.

Since then, Whibley has been spotted in Las Vegas with model Hanna Beth Merjos.
