Billboard Music Awards Announces Nominees

The Canadian band Nickelback is up for the prize in the Rock Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year, Album of the Year (All the Right Reasons) and Rock Album of the Year categories.
Rascal Flatts, who is one of the artists with the highest selling album of 2006, has been nominated in the Group or Duo of the Year and Album of the Year (Me and My Gang) categories, among others.
The evening will also recognise the incredible career of singer Tony Bennett, and the star will be given an award by Celine Dion.
The 17th Annual Billboard Music Awards will take place on December 4.  The live show will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  Already, a number of artists have announced their participation, including Janet Jackson, the Killers, Gwen Stefani, the Fray, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Flavor Flav, Three 6 Mafia, Celine Dion, Rihanna and Chris Brown.
