Chris Cornell Works on Solo Disc

Although his band will be launching their next album, Revelations, on September 5, Cornell will be back to work recording his second solo album.  The singer, who was also a member of Soundgarden, has agreed to sing the theme song for the next James Bond film, Casino Royale.

Cornell told Billboard magazine, "I’m always writing.  There’s a song here, a song there that I wouldn’t be able to put on an Audioslave record. Audioslave’s really been more of a collaboration, anyway, and I’m a guy that writes a lot of songs, and I write a lot by myself."

Cornell’s first solo ablum, Euphoria Morning, was released in 1999.
