Cindy Lauper to Make Broadway Debut

Lauper will play a prostitute called Jenny in the satirical musical.  The role was originally given to Edie Falco (The Sopranos), who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

The Threepenny Opera was presented for the first time on the famous New York street in 1992.  The curtain rises again for this show on April 20.
