Craig Harvey, the Los Angeles coroner explained that Renfro died on Tuesday (January 15) in his apartment in Los Angeles, where he spent the night with his friends. According to Harvey, Renfro could be heard snoring and was found dead the next morning. The cause of death has not been determined, but Renfro is known to have had drug abuse issues.
Harvey stated, "An overdose is a possibility considering his history, but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night. All that we have is that he was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring."
Renfro played in the movies The Client and Apt Pupil. His most recent movie was The Informers, opposite Billy Bob Thornton and Winona Ryder.
