Duran Duran Returns to the Studio

Keyboardist Nick Rhodes confirmed to Billboard that the group will be having a string of songwriting sessions from August until December.  They plan on recording in January.  If everything goes well, the new disc should be available in the summer of 2006.

"The band’s in great shape — we’ve played a lot of shows," notes Rhodes. "We did 45 shows across America in the first three months of the year. We’re ready."

At the moment, Duran Duran is scheduled to take part in the Live 8 concert on July 2nd in Rome.
