2008’s Most Popular Perfumes

The marketing group NPD has published its list of 2008’s best selling perfumes in France.

For Mother’s Day, the marketing research company NPD published its list of best selling women’s perfumes in France for the year 2008, reports FashionMag.

The ranking demonstrated that certain perfumes have remained untouchable, particularly the fragrance Chanel Nº 5, which was found in first place. This scent was promoted by a new face in 2008, actress Audrey Tautou, who starred in a campaign directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
Behind Chanel’s iconic scent, we find J’adore by Dior and Angel by Thierry Mugler. For the second consecutive year, the fragrance whose recent ambassador was actress Keira Knightley, Coco Mademoiselle, landed in fourth place.
Flowers By Kenzo passed up Lolita Lempicka’s first perfume, snatching fifth place.
