A Barack Obama Film

HBO has already closed a 7-figure deal to obtain the American rights to make a documentary on the future United States president, Barack Obama.

The documentary, which is currently untitled, will be produced by actor Edward Norton (Pride and Glory), with his company Class 5 Films.

It seems that the actor had approached Obama in 2006 to direct the documentary on his political career. He obtained authorisation to film from the beginning of the campaign in 2007 until his triumphant victory on Tuesday (November 4).

Norton revealed that Barack Obama’s presidential race gave him the perfect angle for the documentary. He was able capture the population’s immediate reaction at that decisive moment in history.

HBO expects to present the film next year.
