According to an Orange News report, the character of Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon in three Bourne films, could return to the big screen but without Matt Damon.
Universal Pictures studio bosses decided to go ahead with the fourth film in the franchise, even though the star specifically stated he would only return if director Paul Greengrass did. Greengrass directed the last two Bourne films.
Tony Gilroy wrote the screenplay for the first three Bourne films and agreed to return for a fourth to be called The Bourne Legacy.
In April, news emerged that Matt Damon and wife Luciana Bozan Barroso will welcome a fourth child into the family. They have two children together and Barroso has a child from a previous relationship.
The couple have three daughters so far: Alexia, 11, from Barroso’s previous relationship, plus Isabella, 4, and Gia, 20 months.
