Variety reports that Matthew McConaughey will play Mickey Haller in The Lincoln Lawyer.
The film, adapted from the 2005 Michael Connelly novel, tells the story of a defence lawyer who represents a wealthy client who is linked to a murder trial he worked on previously.
McConaughey will be sharing the screen with Jennifer Garner in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, opening on May 1.
