A Date for Resident Evil: Extinction

An official release date was set for the next movie stunts from the video game series Resident Evil.

Sony Screen Gems has announced that the third Resident Evil from the series of four features is expected to hit the screens on September 7th 2007.

After the first two, which the fans loved, Resident Evil: Extinction presents once more actress Milla Jovovich in the role of Alice.

This time, the movie begins with the star driving a caravan to Alaska, going through the Nevada desert. The world is ravaged and there are only a handful of humans left against an army of zombies, hungry for their meat for the nth time.

The other actors confirmed to being part of the cast are Mike Epps, Sienna Guillory, Chris Egan, Oded Fehr, Lain Glen, Debra Marshall, Ashanti Douglas and Ali Larter.

Resident Evil: Extinction is being produced by Paul W.S. Anderson, who gave us the first two episodes of this legendary series, as well as Mortal Kombat (1995), another movie based on a series of video games. He is working on several similar projects, such as Driver (2006), Dead or Alive (2006) and Castlevania (2007).
