Raymond has previously directed The Lion King 1½ and The Hunchback of Notre Dame II, two films who went directly to DVD.
Disney will make the third episode without Pixar and from a script by young writer Jaren Stern. The story takes the characters from Andy’s bedroom to the open road. Stern has also created some new characters for the film.
