A Film About Judy Garland

The Weinstein brothers hope to bring Judy Garland’s life to the big screen.

An article published on Variety’s Website has announced that The Weinstein Co. has acquired the film rights to Gerald Clarke’s biography, "Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland."

The book, which was published in 2000, recounts the life of the late actress, who died in 1969 at age 47.

It is unknown who will impersonate the star who played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

Gerald Clarke also witnessed another one of his biographies, Capote, come to life on the silver screen by Bennett Miller.
