According to Female First, Stella McCartney has designed Glow-In-The-Dark, a collection that.lights up at night, for Adidas.
The designer wants people who wear her pieces feel safe when they’re out running outside.
The young designer. who was recently announced as the official designer of uniforms for the British Olympic team for the London Olympics in 2012, proposed this idea to Adidas, as a security advantage for joggers.
"When you’re running in an urban environment, you need to feel safe, when people can see you coming and stand out, especially in winter when it gets dark earlier. But at the same time we used it on a leopard print, so it’s not so masculine and graphic."
In addition to the Glow-in-the-dark collection, she has also created the Stella McCartney Wintersports line for Adidas as well. The designer has ensured that these garments, made especially for skiers, are comfortable yet very stylish.
