A good daycare is important for children

Children who attend a good daycare at a young age get better results in school later on.

Good news for parents who feel guilty or worried about leaving their young children at daycare. A study of 1,364 children showed that those who attended a quality child care got slightly better grades in high school and had better cognitive abilities.

The National Institutes of Health publish research findings in the journal Child Development. According to researchers, a good daycare makes a world of difference. The time that educators spend with children provides cognitive stimulation and support as well.

They also note that children who spend more time in a good daycare are less likely to give in to their impulses when they become teens.

The study also mentions the importance of interacting with children, but not too much because that could increase the stress hormone in kids. Children need to have lots of time to just have fun and play to develop their imagination.
