Williams (Deception) has begun filming a documentary about her ex-fiancé, Heath Ledger.
The film is dedicated to the couple’s little girl, Matilda, who was born in October 2005. Williams will present testimonials of the deceased actor’s close relatives and colleagues.
Heath Ledger was found dead at the age of 28 in his apartment in January, after he overdosed on medicated drugs. Williams and Ledger met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004. The couple broke up in October 2007.
Ledger, who received critical acclaim for his performance playing the Joker in The Dark Knight, will also appear in next year’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, under the direction of Terry Gilliam (Monty Python). Gilliam chose to keep some scenes filmed with the actor before his death. To finish the film, the director signed on actors Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, to play the character Tony.
