A Look at This Week’s Music Charts

This week in pop music, Circus, by Britney Spears, not only dropped out of the top five, but didn’t even stay in the top 20 Canadian songs, according to Virgin Radio 99.9.  A new addition to this week’s chart is Mad, by Ne-Yo.  Here are Canada’s top 5 pop songs for the week: 1. Heartless – Kanye West 2. Right Round – Flo Rida 3. Mad – Ne-Yo 4. Africa – Karl Wolf 5. My Life Would Suck Without You – Kelly Clarkson

Over on the rock charts, the top five songs according to Classic Country Calgary are:

1. It Won’t Be Like This For Long – Darius Rucker

2. White Horse – Taylor Swift

3. River of Love – George Strait

4. Don’t Think I Can’t Love You – Jake Owen

5. It’s America – Rodney Atkins

And finally, on the rock charts of Edmonton’s The Bear, Canada’s beloved band, The Tragically Hip, was knocked from the number 1 position, falling to number 7 with Love Is a First.  Here are this week’s top 5 rock songs in Canada:
