A month of Halloween at U.K. amusement park

Thorpe Park in Surrey celebrates 10th anniversary of Fright Nights event.

U.K. amusement park Thorpe Park celebrates the tenth anniversary of its horror-themed Fright Nights with an entire month of after-dark rides and terrifying live mazes, reports the Daily Mail.

Located in Surrey, England, the theme park has been celebrating Halloween all month. With the park open daily until 10 p.m., visitors can experience the thrill of riding roller coasters in the dark; but the real scares are in the park’s five spooky ‘live mazes’ – labyrinthine paths laden with scary props, sets and costumed actors.

In The Asylum, visitors will need to find their way through a creepy lunatic asylum – perhaps even while being trailed by an escaped patient. Saw Alive, based on the popular movie franchise, dedicates six rooms to recreating some of the most grotesque and disturbing traps from the films.

Once inside Experiment 10, visitors become test subjects in a demented science laboratory where things have gone horribly wrong. Se7en attacks the senses with bright lights and gruesome sights as visitors are forced to navigate through rooms themed around the seven deadly sins. The Curse, meanwhile, takes guests into a disturbing crime scene haunted by angry spirits.

Fright Nights runs nightly until October 31. Because of the event’s popularity, tickets must be purchased in advance for October 28-31.
