A moose attacks a woman and her dog

A slightly scary scene occurred on the Alaskan side, when a woman named Tracy Hansen, who was walking peacefully accompanied by her dog Gunnar in the evening, was hit directly in the head by a moose’s paw.

This scene from Anchorage was captured by Kate Timmons and in all likelihood, Hansen was certain she was hit by a bike…but it was more like a “moose”.

“I thought someone wasn’t paying attention and hit me with a bike or something. I put my hands to my head and thought, I’m bleeding,” said the moose victim.

Before the moose made its move, Timmons, who was in the car with her husband and children, sped up to warn Hansen, who could not see the scene behind her.

The warning didn’t reach the walker’s ears at the right time, however, as the moose’s front pawscan be seen hitting her head.

In the end, the Timmons family came to Hansen’s (and her pooch’s) aid, and she escaped with a few stitches, bruises and a headache.

Nothing too serious to prevent her from continuing her walks with her dog, we hope.
