Richards has 3000 guitars and would like to permit his fans to view them by opening a guitar museum.
“I’ve probably got too many. I have 3,000 guitars and only one pair of hands. It’s an incredible collection of beautiful instruments but I only play about ten of them, and guitars have to be played. Maybe I will give them away or make a museum,” explained Richards.
Richards recently gave one of his favourite guitars to blues legend, Buddy Guy, who is playing in the Martin Scorsese documentary, Shine a Light. The film is a career-spanning documentary about the Rolling Stones.
