Dior has decided to honour the New Look style, which the designer brought forward in the 1950s, with a new handbag called New Lock, reports Vogue.
The design firm has even posted a Web site dedicated to the creation, featuring nine short films by Peter Lindbergh and Darius Khondji, about the bag. Dior called upon actress Nora Arnezeder to star in advertisements for the New Lock bag, which comes in black, ecru, red, taupe, lilac and python.
Next year, Dior Homme will officially establish its place in the women’s market, with a collection called Petite Taille. The range will be sold in Dior boutiques around the world beginning in 2010.
