Inspired by the Concept-cX from the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007, this new model is expected to be previewed in Japan in February. The vehicle will likely make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010.
Like the i-MiEV, this model is another step forward towards a range of environmentally friendly vehicles. In a particularly green move, the bodywork of the Concept-cX was designed to be completely recyclable when the car would be scrapped. The car’s interior featured materials made with plant fibers, such as bamboo and recyclable plastics.
The future model is based on the "Project Global" platform from Mitsubishi, which is already in place for the Outlander SUV and Lancer.
