The group will release the Atlantic Records CD on May 13, which is entitled Narrow Stairs.
The new disc will feature eleven songs, including the nine-minute track Baxby Canyon Bridge.
The last disc from Death Cab for Cutie, Plans, was released in 2005, and sold 902 000 copies in the US alone.
