A New Elvis Presley Box Set

Elvis Presley’s 75th birthday will be marked with a new box set.

The record company Legacy Recordings is paying homage to the King of Rock’N’Roll, whose 75th birthday will fall in January 2010.

For the occasion, a 4-disc compilation album, called Elvis 75: Good Rockin’ Tonight, is being released, and the first disc will feature his debut songs. The first song will be My Happiness, which Elvis recorded at a Memphis studio, one year prior to signing with Sun Records.

The set will also follow the iconic singer’s career, and the very last song will be Little Less Conversation (JXL Radio Remix Edit), an electronic remix of the piece that seized the number one spot in over 20 countries in 2002.

An 80-page booklet of rare photos and essays by journalist Billy Altman will be included.

The set arrives in stores on December 8, which is exactly one month before Elvis’s 75th birthday.
