Affleck will have the starring role in this movie based on the book by author Tom Epperson.
The actor, who just got an Oscar nomination for his performance in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, will be playing an amnesiac who works for a mobster, known as "The Kind One". The story takes place in the 1930s in Los Angeles.
The author Tom Epperson collaborated with his good friend Billy Bob Thornton, who wrote the screenplay for the movie. The movie is going to be produced by Sean Bailey, who also financed the last Affleck film, Gone Baby Gone.
