According to Variety, Freddie Prinze Jr. and his partner Conrad Jackson will produce the thriller through their company Hunga Rican Entertainment. Jackson will also be directing the project.
Manslaughter is the story of five students who take a holiday in the Phillipines. They soon find themselves implicated in a homicide case that they try to cover up.
Filming is set to begin in May in Los Angeles. Prinze, 31, will make a cameo appearance in the film.
