Actor Val Kilmer has joined the cast of the film Silver Cord, according to a report by Variety.
Handpicked Films and Tayrona Entertainment have also announced that Shane West, Cam Gigandet, Arielle Kebbel and Eric Balfour will also star in the movie.
James Ordonez, who is normally a producer, will direct the project. Ordonez also co-wrote the screenplay with Ken Gord.
Silver Cord follows the story of a man who comes back to life after being declared clinically dead on several occasions. The story is based on the real-life experiences of Ordonez’s brother, who died in 2004. Filming begins in September.
In the meantime, Val Kilmer fans can see him in the film Felon, which opens in theatres on July 18.
