According to Production Weekly, Queen Latifah in in talks to star in the remake of the British comedy Hot Money. The 36 year-old actress would co-star with Diane Keaton.
The English version was based on the story of three cleaners who hope to get more money from the British Treasury than their fair share.
The remake will be adapted to take place in contemporary America.
Callie Khouri will direct the project for MGM. Filming for Mad Money is set to begin in March in Shreveport, Louisiana.
