Sarah McLachlan has been active on the Canadian music scene since 1988. She also founded the Lilith Fair women’s music festival. She will launch a new album called Laws of Illusion on June 15. It’s her seventh studio album and the first with original content since Afterglow came out in 2003.
At the time, Afterglow reached number in sales in Canada, irrefutable evidence of the enormous and loyal fan base the singer has north of the 45th parallel.
McLachlan restarted the Lilith Fair festival this year and is now finetuning the last details of this album with her producer, Pierre Marchand, in Montreal and Vancouver.
