A New Two-Tone Beetle

In 1998, Volkswagen reintroduced the Beetle with the New Beetle.  Despite some cosmetic changes in 2005, the design is beginning to age, so VW is attempting to breathe new life into the car with a special series.

Called Black-Orange, this New Beetle seems to be ready for Halloween, with an orange body and black stripes, or a black body with white stripes.

Available as a coupe or convertible, the New Beetle features a 1.6-litre engine with 102 horsepower.

In terms of exclusivity, the Black-Orange series is distinguished by its 17-inch Red Rock wheels, sport seats, aluminum pedals, leather steering wheel with three spokes, and a gear shifter featuring orange stitching.

Though the car is already available in Germany, Volkswagen has not yet provided information on international marketing.  The New Beetle is being completely revised for 2012.

The limited Black-Orange Beetle comes with a price tag of 22 250 euro (or $34 875 CAD).
