A New Version of The Fury

Fox 2000 wants to remake the 1978 classic directed by Brian De Palma.

According to Variety, Fox 2000 will be making a more modern version of the 1978 horror film, The Fury.

Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman have been chosen as screenwriters for the more contemporary version.

The remake will be about a young man having psychic powers who is exploited for his supernatural abilities by the government.

The John Farris novel published in 1976 inspired the 1978 film’s screenplay and starred Kirk Douglas and John Cassavetes.

The project is in the works, but the cast has not been confirmed.
