A Nurse Arrested in Travolta Case

Another suspect has been arrested in the extortion attempt that was made against the family of John Travolta.

A nurse in the Bahamas, Tarino Lightbourn, was accused yesterday (January 26) of attempting to extort $25 million from John Travolta, reports People.

Lightbourn, 47, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted extortion.  It is believed that the nurse conspired to collect money from Travolta following the death of his sixteen-year-old son, Jett.

According to prosecutor Bernard Turner, the police are searching for a certain document and believes that it will not be found if Lightbourn is released.

Lightbourn was the first nurse to arrive on the scene on January 2.  Jett Travolta had suffered a seizure and died from the incident.

Two other suspects, Pleasant Bridgewater and Obie Wilchombe, have been arrested in the extortion case.
