Alliance VivaFilm announced that the film, by Quebec’s rising cinematographer who brought us C.R.A.Z.Y., will hit theatres on December 18.
The film was chosen as the closer for the recent Toronto International Film Festival. Starring Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) in the title role, the film follows Queen Victoria’s early years of reign to her love affair with Prince Albert.
Prince Albert is played by Rupert Friend (Pride & Prejudice), and Paul Bettany (The Da Vinci Code), Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and Jim Broadbent (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) complete the cast.
