Italian haute couture company Versace is trying to convince the rising star, Chace Crawford, to become their next male spokesmodel.
At the moment, Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey is the Italian label’s representative. His contract lasts until spring 2009.
On Thursday (September 11), a Versace spokesperson issued a press release to clarify that the Gossip Girl star wore three outfits designed by Donatella Versace during the Fashion Rocks event, during the Video Music Awards, and for Blake Lively’s 21st birthday bash.
When asked by the press if Crawford was going to replace Patrick Dempsey, the design rep replied, "We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace – and that is all we can say on the subject."
