According to People magazine, Spears delivered the child during a scheduled cesarian section in a Los Angeles hospital. The happy event took place just before 2:00 in the morning. Spears’ husband, Kevin Federline, was by her side during the birth. A witness said, "Kevin had a smile on his face. He looked happy."
Many people believed that Spears and Federline were secretly hoping for a baby girl. The new addition to the family arrived just two days before older brother Sean Preston’s first birthday.
Before the delivery, Britney Spears explained that she plans on getting back in shape quickly. She explained, "I’m definitely going to start working out in a huge way."
