A simple yet chic wedding for Cœur de pirate

Béatrice Martin, or Cœur de pirate, made a name for herself with her song Comme des enfants. Since then, she’s been making a name for herself around the world, as well as promoting Québécois talent through her Bravo Musique label.

On the personal front, she has two children: Romy, born of her union with Alex Peyrat, and Arlo, whose father is Marc Flynn. It’s with the latter that she got married this weekend!

Yes, Coeur de pirate got married in an intimate outdoor ceremony, just a few days after her 35th birthday.

Béatrice wore a pretty short white dress, as well as gloves and a very long scarf that could double as a veil. Her red shoes provided a nice accent of color. Her lover Marc wore a classic black suit, white shirt and black tie.

Following the ceremony, guests moved to a marquee housing a long table for the reception. The table decorations and floral arrangements looked simply stunning.

By the way, the white and eggplant flowers were not the type we’re used to seeing at weddings. A unique touch!

The meal was followed by an evening of dancing under the pretty orange marquee, the same color that adorned the beautifully lit ceremony venue. You’ll notice that it was Anne-Marie Withenshaw who shared this story on her Instagram account. The host and her family were among the wedding guests.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
