During an appearance on The Tonight Show, hosted by Jay Leno, the young actor was pleasantly surprised when Leno gave him a baseball signed by baseball player Barry Bonds.
Efron had spoken to Leno about his great admiration for the player from the San Fransisco Giants team, and explained that he had autographs from each player from the Giants, except Bonds. When he finished explaining this to Leno, Leno pulled out the autographed baseball.
Efron told Leno that he arrives at each Giants game two hours before the game with his father and little brother to catch the practice balls, and get autographs.
Leno told Efron that he personally knows Bonds and made the player aware of the fact that Efron was a big fan.
