Swarovski has received a prize for a 2010 Best Product of the Year for its D:Light watch, Vogue reports.
Created by Swiss designer Éric Giroud and launched in 2009, this watch is part of Swarovski’s first watch collection.
Decorated with 171 crystals, this bracelet is able to transform into a LED digital watch. At the touch of a button, a sequence of crystals light up giving you the current time. It is described as a futuristic watch and rightly so.
The Red Hot Design Award jury, one of the biggest and most prestigious design competitions in the world, loved this watch so much that they gave it the 2010 Best Product of the Year award.
The D:Light watch by Swarovski is available in the jeweller’s stores or on its website.
Swarovski’s first watch collection was launched last spring. There are 45 different models in the collection with a lot of variety. Men’s and women’s styles are available, sporty or dressy. There are steel or leather bracelets and some are adorned with Swarovski crystals.
The D:Light watch comes in stainless steel or gold.
