A Third Gremlins Planned

Warner Bros. is planning to bring the Gremlins back to the big screen for the third time.

The adorable Gizmo may be hitting theatres again.  The sequel to the first film, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, released in 1990, generated $41.5 million.

The idea of a bringing back a character will not be bringing back the previous films’ director, Joe Dante.  Dante says that he will take no part in the project.

The director feels that the problem with bringing Gizmo and his friends back could be the advances in the world of technology.  The previous two films were made by using the latest technology at the time, but since that has evolved, it may be difficult to find what will make the Gremlins special in 2006.
