A Tribute Album for Nick Drake

Billboard.com reports that Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl, Norah Jones and Jack Johnson are all part of the list of artists to collaborate on an album paying tribute to Nick Drake, to be released via Johnson’s Brushfire Records.

Recording sessions were filmed to make a DVD set that will also include a version of Black Eyed Dog, recorded by late actor Heath Ledger in 2007, and has never been officially released.

Drake, the influential writer and performer, died in 1974 from a drug overdose at age 26.
